JANET GIRARDEAU is pleased to be working with Nicola Sheara and the TheaterSounds company. She has performed extensively in theater, film and TV, and runs a summer theater in Hunter, NY dedicated to the work of Horton Foote. She recently performed in ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE: THE OUTTAKES.
SALLY LAURILLIARD is a retired English teacher from the Coxsackie-Athens School District. She has appeared locally in THE CRUCIBLE, WHITE NOISE, and PAINTING CHURCHES. She has also played in Albany Civic Theater's ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDERSTERN and HAIKU, as well as Theater Voices THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE. Recent productions include THE COCKTAIL HOUR presented by The Pine Knoll Theater and JB presented by the Schoharie Creek Players in Windham. Sally and her husband Bob have performed Cobern's GIN GAME numerous times as a fund raiser for libraries and other groups. For many summers she has appeared in Horton by the Stream in Elka Park. Sally studied acting at the NYS Theater Institute, with Ward Dale and James Goodwin Rice.
NICOLA SHEARA (Director) has been an actress and director on Broadway, Off Broadway and across the country for over 30 years. Hudson Valley audiences have seen her work as an actress in LOVE LETTERS and COLLECTED STORIES for Performing Arts of Woodstock and as a director of THREEPENNY OPERA at the Bardavon; NUNSENSE at Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center; I HATE HAMLET at Shadowlands, THE GREAT NEBULA IN ORION for the Woodstock Fringe; and for PAW: WENCESLAS SQUARE, NECESSARY TARGETS, and most recently the successful production of PROOF. Ms. Sheara is the Artistic Director of TheaterSounds, and happily welcomes you all to our 21st reading.
BRIAN SMIAR appeared on Broadway in MIXED EMOTIONS. He has also performed at Playwrights Horizons, The Provincetown Playhouse, Fulton Opera House, Cincinnati Playhouse and The Charles Playhouse, Boston. His films include REGARDING HENRY, BOSS OF BOSSES, SHADOWS AND FOG, 13 CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ONE THING, and THE NEXT KARATE KID, and he was a regular on THE SLAP MAXWELL SHOW and L.A. FIREFIGHTERS. In addition, he has been on LAW & ORDER, THIRD WATCH, ED, HOOP LIFE, CHINA BEACH, thirysomething and THE COMMISH, THE EDUCATION OF MAX BICKFORD, and HACK.
KEN THOMPSON has appeared in the Hudson Valley area in Performing Arts of Woodstock's WENCESLAS SQUARE, ZOO STORY at UPAC's Back Alley Theatre, Shadowland's Social Security and THE MOUSETRAP; and Law & Order: SVU.
