WANDA L. HOUSTON was recently seen on Broadway in the Roundabout Theater Production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE where she played the Negro Woman at Studio 54. Before "Streetcar" Wanda was in the Off Broadway hit MENOPAUSE, THE MUSICAL now celebrating its 4th Year. Other favorite roles regionally include Jewel in BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, Lois Lane/ Bianca, KISS ME KATE, Nettie in CAROUSEL, Sister Hubert in NUNSENSE, the wicked Stepsister, Magnolia in the Larry Hart/Michael Jackson production of SISTERELLA, (NAACP Nom), Alice in A... MY NAME IS ALICE, (Robby Award) and Dionne in the 20th Anniversary of , HAIR. Wanda was featured in the RCA live recording of William Finn's, INFINITE JOY at Joe's Pub released in 2000. You can also see her in the Christmas Family Fox film THE PATH and in the soon to be released film ROMANCE AND CIGARETTES directed by John Turturro. Wanda sings with the Broadway Inspirational Voices who was nominated for a Grammy for its Christmas Album, "Great Joy!". See them in concert this year for BCEFA in October. Most recently, local audiences saw her in the Woodstock Fringes TWO BY THREE BY THREE.
NICOLA SHEARA has appeared on Broadway in THE GRAPES OF WRATH (TONY Award Best Play); in the National Tour of NICHOLAS NICKLEBY (Best Featured Actress Award - Cleveland Critics Circle); Off Broadway, and in regional theaters across the country (Best Leading Actress Nominations for BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and THE COUNTRY GIRL). She originated the role of Chick in CRIMES OF THE HEART at the Actors Theater of Louisville. As a director, Hudson Valley audiences have seen Ms. Sheara's work at the Bardavon, Shadowlands, Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center, and for Performing Arts of Woodstock (PROOF, ALL MY SONS, NECESSARY TARGETS and WENCESLAS SQUARE.) For The Woodstock Fringe 2003 Nicola directed THE GREAT NEBULA IN ORION, played eight different women in THE DAYS ARE AS GRASS written by Carol Hall and directed by Vivian Matalon in 2004, and this year directed ART.

SHELLEY WYANT (Director) is a teacher, director and performer. The Mask is her special teaching tool and she has offered workshops and classes at conservatories and universities such as Brown University, Smith College, Yale, NYU, and Stella Adler Conservatory. She is currently on the faculty of Bard College. Ms.Wyant is a founding member of Actors and Writers of Olivebridge. Her company MaskWork Unlimited has performed critically acclaimed works using masks and giant puppets such as THE SCOTTISH PLAY at Kingstons Holy Cross Church, AMA presented at Kingstons Rotary Point Park, and PERMANGALI AND THE SEVEN GEESE BROTHERS at Rosendales Widow Janes Cave. LOVE, REINCARNATION AND GARBAGE was presented at the Edinburgh Festival and at SUNY New Paltz. She brought the Hudson Valley New Zealands HAMATSA straight from its successful run at La Mama in NYC. Shelley also directed THE GOOD WOMAN OF SETZUAN and REAL INSPECTOR HOUND for Performing Arts of Woodstock and Sigrid Heaths WINGBONE at Byrdcliffe Theatre and the Wall Street Playhouse. JOY presenters was subsequently formed presenting TREETALES at Opus 40 and ROMEO/JULIET at schools throughout the area. Recently, Shelley directed the operas BEGGARS OPERA and THE MEDIUM at Bard College.
